NOTICE FOR ESSAY COMPEITION ON UNIVERSAL HEALTH COVERAGE

HSDN International striving for developing holistically sustainable societies with a slogan of ‘live simply, live lively’ since 2014. We have registered federally in Canada as a nonprofit in 2017 and gradually spreading globally. We are building our capacity through collaboration for holistic sustainability. Everyone counts, so we do not exclude potentiality of yours. At this point, we are delighted to announce launching of our ‘Sustainability Review Magazine’ as the first activity of HSDN Bangladesh Chapter. Our first issue is scheduled to publish in December 2020 on the theme of ‘Universal Health Coverage’.

On 12 December 2012, the resolution on global health and foreign policy (A/RES/67/81) recommended to include universal health coverage in the discussions on the post-2015 development agenda in the context of global health challenges. Member states recognized the importance of universal coverage in national health systems, especially through primary healthcare and social protection mechanisms, to provide access to health services for all, in particular for the poorest segments of the populations’ access  to safe, effective, quality and affordable essential medicines and vaccines.

Good health is a basic right of humans. However, maximum people in the world barely have access to a good healthcare system. In this regard, we believe that it is our duty to dig into it to investigate whether countries, have ‘Universal Health Coverage’ policy, infrastructure, and good governance necessary to comply with the commitment.

We would like to know the thought and insights of the graduate students on “UNIVERSAL HEALTH COVERAGE: AN ANALYSIS ON EXISTING HEALTH SYSTEM OF BANGLADESH.’’
